Technical Textile Park, Mysore
MK Fashion World a venture of MK International Group is setting up a Technical Textile Park in the heritage city of Mysore. Karnataka produces 9,000 metric tons of mulberry silk of a total of 14,000 metric tons produced in the country, thus contributing to nearly 70% of the country's total mulberry silk. In Karnataka, silk is mainly grown in the Mysore district. The growth of the silk industry in the Kingdom of Mysore was first initiated during the reign of Tipu Sultan. Later it was hit by a global depression, and competition from imported silk and rayon. In the second half of the 20th century, it revived and the Mysore became the top multivoltine silk producer in India.
Technical Textile Park has created a whole new concept of defining shops in terms of their layout and location. Trade centres, designed as they are, packs more visitors per square feet of area than traditional public market places. However the possibility of a visitor either walking past a shop, or spotting one or the time they are most likely to spend close to a shop are dependent on several shop design and location dynamics. The dynamics of visitors flow is totally different to the ones seen in public market places. This works differently for different class and category of shops and products, but the fact remains that, given the dynamics of visitors flow being different in a trade centre as opposed to one seen in public market places, the layout and location of a shop, plays a crucial part in helping a business optimize its visitor's strike rate. Textil Valley has thus come up with 5 unique layouts to help business choose the one that would work the best for them at a location that is at its business best.
In Technical Textile Park's Main Mall Each trader has a unique requirement and expectation and we ensure that the layout, design and distribution of visitors flow across all floors matches those business requirements and expectations. The concepts are uniquely different and uniquely interesting too. The Main Mall as the name suggests, will function every day of the week, except on weekly and national holidays.
Exquisitely tiled floors, fully air conditioned shops, glass frontages, high grade signage, user friendly information kiosks, electronic direction finders and many more make Technical Textile Park the Trade Gateway of the future. The excitement doesn't stop here for each of the floors has a theme to talk about.
Our vision is to transform our dream into reality Technical Textile Park has been strongly associated with the team of Professionals, Consultants and Technical Associates.
Mysore's presence in textiles is mind boggling, however it lacks the infrastructure and the delivery system to become a global centre of gravity in product categories that this region is so specially known for. The International Convention Centre should become the centre for setting trends in product innovations, designs and manufacturing excellence. It should become the central point connecting with many other global systems of repute.
A trendy 1 lakh sq ft convention centre designed to take Mysore to the world, making it a top destination for textile engagements from R&D to industrial cooperation. It will play host to Trade Fairs, large conferences and Fashion Shows.
The region has the potential to take a dominant position in many product categories and it has a very strong textile history and the resources to move into new areas such as high technical textiles, sustainable fashion and eco textiles.
